Day 1: Welcome to Khon Kaen
A warm welcome is assured when you arrive at Khon Kaen Airport, Train or Bus Stations, where you will be transferred to your hotel in an air-conditioned mini bus or car. Once you have booked in you will be given your itinerary for the following days excursion. If you are not too tired you may like to stroll around the city center and breath in warm atmosphere of the markets, shopping malls, food stalls. Or you could relax at your hotel and prepare yourself for your trip in the village in the next day!

Day 2: Village Life
Morning: After morning greetings at your hotel we will travel to the village of Ban Suan Mon, which is the home of Ajarn Siriporn’s (teacher), your tour guide, who will show you around the village, meet with her mother and family who live close by, make friends with the locals and you can experience their way of living. Feel free to ask as many questions as you wish.

The charm of the village life ………

Afternoon: The mother and little friends there will take care of you for take a glance at agricultural activities. This is a good chance that you can practice your Thai speaking with her as well!

Evening: Free at your own leisure whether learning Thai language, taking Thai cooking class or having good conversation with Ajarn Siriporn.

Day 3: Visiting Teacher at a Local school
Morning: Today you are invited to visit the school, to observe the teaching and learning activities there. If you are an English speaking, this would be a great experience to act as an English teacher. You will have the opportunity to discuss how teaching in Thai and West vary and discuss anything with the teachers there and, especially about education. You can also play games with young school students and make friends. Believe us….. those innocent smiles will often call you to visit them once again when you next visit Khon Kaen.

Afternoon: Taking rest at home and free at your own leisure time.

Evening: Free at your own leisure whether learning Thai language, taking Thai cooking class or having good conversation with Ajarn Siriporn.

Day 4: Observing the Two Different Temples
Morning: Ban Suan Mon Village has two temples: domestic and forest temples. These two types of temples play different roles in the community. You can educate yourself how and why temples are so important to the people’s mind, dedicate yourself to help some little tasks of the monks and novice’s after morning meal time, and learning meditation is the thing you should not miss!

Afternoon: It’s time for the highlight of your tour to Ban Suan Mon! You can be a farmer for the afternoon and help growing the rice at the rice fields in this region and learn the work of being a ‘backbone of the nation’ as farmers of Thailand regard this as a motto.

Day 5: Depart from Khon Kaen
After breakfast, a small local farewell ceremony is hosted for you, as a guest of the whole community. We do hope your stay with us will be an unforgettable and colorful once in a life time experience. You will always be in our hearts and minds and you will never be forgotten! Bon voyage……..
